It's like the engineer who was called in because a major piece of equipment was not running right. The engineer looked things over for a few minutes, turned a couple of knobs and fixed the problem.
When the client received the engineer's invoice for $500 he called to complain about the outrageous charge for turning a couple of knobs. The engineer agreed to send an adjusted invoice.
The new invoice said:turning knobs - $5, knowing which knobs to turn - $495.
