Man that sucks that your client dropped you like that. I have had that done to me several of times. Eventually I got feed up with clients always dropping on me so I contacted all of my clients I have done in the past and asked them if they had any recommendations and if they did to send them to me and I would reward them for every client they gave me. I also learned my great graphic design ability from xtrain.com. They offer free online classes for everything you can possibly could imagine on graphic design. Good luck.
